Ortsmusik Viechtwang

The local music band Viechtwang with 71 active members is one of the largest music bands in the Gmunden district!

The main musical events are the castle concert on the last Saturday in July in the Scharnstein castle courtyard and the Christmas concert on Christmas day in the hall of the New Scharnstein Middle School. Furthermore, the wake-up call on May 1st and the accompaniment of various church and social events are among the fixed points in the association's year.

The music ball, which takes place every year on Shrove Saturday in the music center in the Viechtwang elementary school, is also a fixed event. With the cultivated ball atmosphere and the unique atmosphere in the Cubar Lounge, the music ball of the Viechtwang local music is one of the highlights in the Almtaler event calendar.
