Since 1998, a small Franciscan community of Franciscan friars, a sister and members of the SFO from different countries of origin and cultures have been living in the Shalom Franciscan Monastery in Pupping. 
The monastery's own store offers handicrafts and home-made goods. Browsing is worthwhile. 
The newly built Jägerstätter Chapel is often used as a wedding location.

In the monastery garden, facing the sun, there is a vegetable garden that reflects the diversity of the region.  The delicate scent of herbs in the spacious herbal snail tantalizes the senses. Tasting is desired.
