The local chapel Schöneben is a Roman Catholic chapel in the village of Schöneben in the market town of Liebenau in the district of Freistadt in Upper Austria and is a listed building.


The mighty chapel building with a recessed choir and a ridge turret was built in 1904. Inside, the chapel has a pointed barrel vault emphasised by vertical ribs. The neo-Gothic west gallery is made of wood. The stained glass with Christian symbols was created around 1960/1970. The neo-Gothic altar as a niche rebate was built in 1914 by Hans Leopold Weiß with the statues of St Mary, St Anthony and St Joseph.
