Pfarre Linz - St. Peter
Linz, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Linz - St. Peter: A young parish with an old tradition Today's parish Linz - St. Peter is located in the south of Linz and includes the district Spallerhof. Of the approximately 8,000 residents in our district, about 5,000 are Catholics.
Our parish logo shows attributes of St. Peter: rock, rooster and the inverted cross.
The population is characterized by industry (voestalpine and chemical park). The district is over-aged, as most of the inhabitants found work as young workers in the large industrial companies after the 2nd World War and became residents here in our parish area. Slowly, a younger age group is establishing itself in the newly built apartments.
