Chapel in Gaisbuchen The chapel, also known as the "Schopfkapelle", is located not far from the Turnstein in the Gaiserwald forest. A section of the ancient Roman path leads to it. The steep roof with the ridge turret and the high pointed arch windows give it the appearance of a small neo-Gothic church. Paintings and plaques set into the wall provide information about the history of the chapel. It was built in 1891 by Franz Matschini with an empty pocket after the rosary was prayed following the strange healing of a seriously ill foot.

Autobahn A8 to the Pichl bei Wels exit. Then continue via Grieskirchen and Peuerbach.

You can reach us via Peuerbach railway station, which is 7 km away.
