The house at Kirchengasse 8 is one of the oldest buildings in the old town. It existed prior to 1400. Many craft guilds and hostels for their brotherhoods were situated here. Today the building is still renowned for its traditional guesthouse to the town Gmunden or also guesthouse fuchs (fox). Often used by marketers as a rest place. The poet Franz Keim was brought up here.
