First mentioned in 1448 as property of "Michael the Butcher" ever since then domicile of the butcher craft until 1995

In 1448 “Michael the butcher” was named as owner of the house. It was called Handicraft house “Im Rinderholz” and butcher house “Silmbroth”. The butchery operation was located in this house from 1867 until 1995. As of late it houses the gallery “Tacheles”.
