Current Town Hall

Gmunden, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Renaissance building dating back to the 16th century a ceramic Glockenspiel in the loggia

The current town hall dates back to the 16th century in its essence. The exact year of origin is unknown. The central block indicates a participation of Italian architects or at least an Italian influence on the design of the building. In any case it´s a renaissance building. Above the town hall clock a coloured presentation of the Austrian double eagle is attached – to both sides of the clock the Austrian shield and the emblem of the state of Upper Austria is attached and beneath it “God´s Eye” is located. There is a ceramic glockenspiel in the loggia.
