The first mention of this house was in 1533, when it was called "Khuenpergern-Haus". From 1550 until today it has been a bourgeois inn. It was also a guild house. Since 1688 it has borne the name "Gasthaus zu den drei Hacken" vulgo "Hacklwirt". In the same year, the house on the Graben was also mentioned as a hostel for the leather trade. 100 years later, the tailors' guild had its permanent home there. Since 1947 the house has been owned by the Salfinger family.
