Hagenau Bay
The river bay in Hagenau is located in the reservoir of the Inn and is surrounded by alluvial forest. Around forty species of waterfowl can be found here in the Hagenau area: Ducks, gulls, herons, mergansers, geese, waders, etc.
Many of them can be observed on a leisurely walk along the bay of the bird sanctuary.
The combination of flowing waters and extensive riparian forests creates an ideal environment for these bird species, which both nest and forage here. In spring and fall in particular, the bay is a popular destination for migratory birds stopping off on their journey. A walk along the shores of the bay therefore not only offers an unforgettable view of nature, but also the opportunity to observe many of these birds in their natural habitat.
For nature lovers and bird enthusiasts, Hagenau Bay is a true paradise. If you want to enjoy the tranquillity of the landscape, you can discover a unique variety of species on a carefree walk along the bird sanctuary. The undisturbed nature and the dazzling colors of the birds in particular offer impressive photo opportunities and invite you to enjoy a relaxed exploration tour. Even in the cooler months, the bay is a fascinating place where the birdlife can be observed in all its glory.
