Jugendtankstelle Mühlviertler Alm

The project idea for the Mühlviertler Alm youth petrol station was born in 2001 as part of a regional development process. With the aim of counteracting emigration from the region, the regional connection of young people was to be promoted through an attractive social environment with communities and a variety of leisure activities. Thanks to a cooperation between the Diocese of Linz and the Mühlviertler Alm Regional Development Association, the idea was realised in autumn 2004 in the Unterweißenbach deanery.
Since then, the youth petrol station has developed into a central hub for youth work and youth participation in the Mühlviertler Alm region.
With a focus on youth and leisure culture, politics, religion, work and future opportunities, etc., current topics and developments have been and continue to be addressed and young people are supported in formulating their own ideas and visions and actively contributing to the region.
