Excursion destination for the whole family from 07 April to 01 November at Katzenberg Castle!

At DINOLAND, visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious past of our planet. On their discovery tour through the extensive research area, they embark on an eventful journey into a bygone age of the earth over 200 million years ago with more than 70 life-size and realistic dinosaurs, skeletons and fossils.

Many new attractions for learning and playing, such as a water playground, mighty dinosaur newcomers and a gold panning facility.

Visitors will come face to face with impressive colossi such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Triceratops and the Stegosaurus, to name just a few of the most famous lizards. They all tell interesting stories and will delight young and old researchers alike! All models have been produced true to the original under scientific supervision. Thanks to elaborate animatronics, some of them can even move and make deceptively real noises.

Interactive and educationally valuable
DINOLAND has created a unique prehistoric classroom with interactive areas for children to discover, touch and try out. Instead of a dusty museum, children and their parents can explore exciting facts about the prehistoric colossi and their time in an unprecedented way in the beautiful ambience of Schloss Katzenberg. What has been left out of the curriculum this school year due to lack of time can be learnt here in a fun and exciting way.

In addition to the impressive exhibits, the unique prehistoric adventure world offers a varied and extraordinary hands-on programme for all ages. In the Dinodrome, young visitors can go for a spin in dinosaur scooters, sit on even more life-size dinosaurs while riding dinosaurs and win a personalised researcher's passport in the dinosaur rally. Sifting through treasures and uncovering fossils is exciting and educational, turning children into archaeologists!

There are exciting finds to discover in the museum, the creative minds behind the Dino Live show have a great programme in store and the cinema also shows a varied mix of different documentaries. If you want to take the dinosaur fun home with you, you are sure to find the right thing in the shop. There is plenty of food and drink on offer so that young and old can fortify themselves at any time before embarking on a new adventure!
