The "Kulturtreff Altes Kino St. Florian" (Old Cinema St. Florian) occupies a cinema hall from the 1950s in Brucknermarkt, south-east of Linz. The team led by chairman Florian Heidlmayer, Katharina Hametner and Christian Matzinger offers a colourful mix of jazz, world music, blues and cabaret.

The organisation sees the unique atmosphere of the hall, which seats 200 people, as the secret of its success. The audience likes it - and so do the artists, the chairman is convinced. Why else would artists who are known beyond Austria's borders keep returning to the old cinema?
