This philosophy, which defines life and work at the Aufreiter organic herb farm, is something the family also wants to bring closer to its customers through its range of products.

Michaela and Hans from Bio-Kräuterhof Aufreiter have been growing and processing medicinal and aromatic herbs for over 30 years. Herb growing is their passion! They produce organic products with a high standard of quality and in harmony with nature.

Their products range from herbal teas to spice and incense blends to barley and wheat grass, a real "superfood".

Organic herb farmers with a passion

Michaela and Hans' organic herb farm is located in the heart of the beautiful Mühlviertel at 650 metres above sea level in the Upper Austrian municipality of Alberndorf. It is a traditional farm in the Mühlviertel style and is over 500 years old. The herbs can grow and thrive here on the best primary rock soils. There is also room for chickens, pigs and cats.

Their herbs are planted and sown, weeded and harvested and processed into valuable products with a lot of love in the family. They want to pass this love on to their customers through their products.
The herbs are cultivated both mechanically (soil cultivation, care, harvesting, drying) and by hand (removal of weeds in the rows). Drying is carried out gently on a tray dryer at a maximum temperature of 38° directly on our farm.
