After 1620: Counter-Reformation: EMIGRATION

1752 – 1757: Forced RELOCATION of secret Protestants to Transylvania (over 150 people from the Bad Hall region)

1781: TOLERANCE FOR LUTHERANS: Until 1944, there are over 100 Lutherans in the Bad Hall region who attend services in Neukematen

1880: Deaconess (sister) from Gallneukirchen cares for Protestant children staying for treatment in Bad Hall

1899: Establishment of a PREACHING PLACE (“Hotel Budapest”)

1905 – 1907: Construction of an Evangelical children's home "Haus Bethesda" (now Diakonie) – becomes the center of evangelical life in Bad Hall

1934: Preaching place is transformed into a PREACHING STATION

1944: Settlement of Transylvanian Saxons from Weißenkirch, Kallesdorf, and Mönchsdorf, which sextupled the number of Protestants in the Bad Hall region

1957: Bad Hall becomes a DIOCESAN CHURCH of Neukematen with its own community representation, presbytery, and curator

1964 – 1968: ESTABLISHMENT OF THE EVANGELICAL LUKAS CHURCH

1970: Inauguration ceremony of the evangelical hospice: Extension (from 28 to 70 beds) à from 1996 Hotel “Elise”

1978: BAD HALL BECOMES A SELF-Sufficient EVANGELICAL COMMUNITY with approximately 800 members

2002: Inauguration ceremony of the new community center
