The beginnings of the OFZ

Hans Doppler, Hermann Pohn and a number of other Zell residents had long been passionate about old tractors.
The topics at the regulars' tables in the pubs in Zell centred around old tractors.
The race soon began to see who was the "Narischa" when it came to old tractors. Hans Doppler and Hermann Pohn, the real driving forces behind the matter, took it so far that the first thoughts of founding a classic car club emerged as early as 1999. (They were actually talking about a Steyr 15 club). Our beloved wives didn't even want to go to the pub with us on Sunday evenings any more, as they thought we only talked about the "stupid" tractors anyway. But things started to take shape, and so on
30 July 2000 around 50 tractors came to Zell, where the line-up began at 12:30 pm in the car park of the new primary school.

20 August 2000:
On Sunday 20th August, Peter proved that everything is right with tractors. We old-timer friends were invited by the Tanz- und Singkreis to organise a tractor skill race at the village festival.

The Vöcklabrucker Rundschau newspaper wrote at the time "46 tractor bolides at the start despite tropical heat". This 20th August was one of the hottest days in the year 2000, but despite everything it was a successful event, as the many guests attested with great applause. After a few smaller outings, the year 2000 came to a rather quiet end. Discussions about founding a classic car club became more and more concrete at the regulars' tables.

On 1 April 2001, the founding meeting was held with great success.
