How to get to Pettenbach im Almtal:
We recommend that you travel by public transport!
by train:
From Wels train station, take the Almtalbahn (line 153) in the direction of Grünau im Almtal to the Steinbach-Brücke stop; from the train station, it is about a 30-minute walk to the "Frucht Kraft Werk".
numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) to Linz/Vienna or Salzburg and to Passau (line 150)
by bus:
OÖVV bus line 480 Scharnstein - Pettenbach - Kirchdorf; bus stop Pettenbach Ranklleiten
From the bus stop it is approx. 10 - 12 minutes to the "Frucht Kraft Werk".
with the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 70 from Vorchdorf or Scharnstein to the Ranklleiten stop, please call the cab center at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 and order. From the stop it is approx. 10 - 12 minutes to the "Frucht Kraft Werk".
Bike & Hike, arrival by bike:
Coming from Wels or Linz on the R 11 Almtalradweg via Pettenbach in the direction of Viechtwang. Or via the R 4 Traunradweg or R6 Römerradweg, or coming from Passau via Vöcklabruck and Schwanenstadt to Lambach, via the Traunkraftwerk Lambach and to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting in the direction of Vorchdorf Einsiedling. Continue via the short cycle connection on the R 13 Traunviertlerradweg to R 11 Almtalradweg via Pettenbach in the direction of Viechtwang.
Also the cycle connection on the Traunviertel Tour from Gmunden via St. Konrad, Scharnstein and Viechtwang towards Pettenbach.
By car:
Westautobahn A1: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A9 - exit Ried/Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - B120 in the direction of Scharnstein
Inntalautobahn A8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A9 - exit Ried/Tr.Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - B120 in the direction of Scharnstein
Westautobahn A1: Munich - Salzburg - Regau - on the B145 to Gmunden, also when traveling from Bad Ischl - B120 in the direction of Pettenbach
Turn off at Heiligenleithen/Kaiblingstraße
