Pollham has approximately 960 inhabitants and covers a total area of 11.26 km². It is located about 4 km north of Grieskirchen, embedded in the softly rolling hills and surrounded by the romantic Pollhamerwald forest. Pollheim, the town's name, derives from the "Pollheimer Dynasty" who owned the castle of the same name.
