Vorderstoder

Vorderstoder is situated only a few kilometres away from the Ski-World-Cup-Village Hinterstoder and is one of Upper Austria’s highest mountain villages.

The picture-book landscape surrounded by the "alpine celebrities" of the Totes Gebirge - Spitzmauer, Großer Priel & Kleiner Priel - is an insider tip for those seeking relaxation. Since 2006, the health project "Kraftort Vorderstoder" has been running in the picturesque village of Vorderstoder with the aim of "clearing" the place of negative force fields and thus increasing everyone's well-being.

Where children's hearts beat faster...

The SWUWIZ - Stodertal forest and water playground in the Zwergental valley, a mini-golf trail and the fairy-tale hike "Märchenrubbelwandern" are just some of the things that prove that children have a big heart here.

From leisurely walks to challenging mountain tours, Vorderstoder offers numerous opportunities to enjoy nature and tranquillity to the full. Hearty delicacies and rustic huts invite you to take a traditional break and pamper your palate and soul. Hiking and excursion tips in Vorderstoder include the Schafferteich, Windhagersee, the Steyrsbergerreith and the Zellerhütte. From the Stoderer Weitblick, a newly built viewing platform, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountain peaks and the valley.

Smooth running

If you want to put your poles on the ice or do some pirouettes in Vorderstoder, you can do so at the Union sports ground. Cross-country skiing fans can make their tracks on two different Ski-Doo trails.
