The Wurbauerkogel adventure mountain in Windischgarsten offers fun, games and excitement all in one go! The glass Wurbauerkogel National Park Panorama Tower impresses with a view of the surrounding mountains - including 21 two-thousand-metre peaks - and an exciting exhibition about the Kalkalpen National Park. If you haven't yet had a taste of the wind, you should hop on the Alpine Coaster, an all-weather Alpine roller coaster, and speed through traffic circles, over jumps and waves. Speaking of speed: you can also let the wind whistle around your ears in the newly built bike park on Wurbauerkogel. Three mountain bike trails - a flow trail (easy), a freeride trail (medium) and a downhill trail (difficult) - are available. Those who prefer to roam through the undergrowth with bow and arrow can take aim at chamois, wolves and bears on the 3D archery course. Climbers, on the other hand, can soar skywards in the Bannholzmauer via ferrata park . The striking rock tower, which towers majestically at the foot of the Wurbauerkogel, offers four via ferrata routes in difficulty levels A/B to D/E.

The Kulturhaus Römerfeld in Windischgarsten - a multifunctional event venue - serves as a cultural meeting point and can also be rented as a location for conferences and congresses. In the winter months, lavish ball nights in Windischgarsten provide unforgettable experiences. Events such as the traditional Lederhosentreffen are also an integral part of Windischgarsten 's cultural life.

"UNESCO cultural heritage Niglo parade"

Every year on December 5th, mysterious figures gather in Windischgarsten . They get ready for the Niglo parade, which only takes place here. This exclusivity has even earned the procession, which was first described more than 150 years ago, an entry on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
