Sonnleithen circular hiking trail

A beautiful circular walk for the family. The difference in altitude is only 93 metres.

If you walk uphill from the Aichetweg, several benches along the ascent invite you to take a break, from where you have a marvellous view over Attnang-Puchheim from an unusual perspective.
The route continues along partially shaded forest paths and forest roads. You soon reach the wayside cross with the miraculous image of the "Mother of Perpetual Help".
Further on, still slightly uphill, you reach the highest point, the Sonnleithenhöhe at 514 metres above sea level. This is probably also the highest point in the municipality of Attnang-Puchheim - marked with a carved wooden wafer.
In this area there is a marvellous view over a clearing to Wolfsegg.
Further along the trail, you come to a forest path junction where the "Bankerlbuche", a very old, mighty beech tree worthy of protection, stands. Another bench invites you to take a rest.
After a further stretch, you come to several forest path crossings again, where you can see the so-called Haselhof, a forest hut, from one of them.
The path now turns southwards and several benches invite you to linger. You then return to the starting point on the Aichetweg.
