Description:
There are two options for the hike to Gschwendtalm - via Gschwendthäusl on the trail through the forest or via Langerhäusl on the forest road. Behind the Gschwendtalm over steep meadows and through forests you reach the Gamsstein.

Trail number: E44, 491

Directions:
Via the Gschwendthäusl, the trail leads through the forest constantly uphill to the Gschwendtalm. Continue uphill first across the steep meadow behind the hut, then in the forest past a spring and finally across a steep grassy slope to the summit ridge and to the cross at the highest point.

From the ridge a sign points to the branching off path to the Ennser Hütte and to the Almkogel. However, we descend again to Gschwendtalm and recommend the forest road to Langerhäusl for the way back.

Tip:
Allow yourself time for a hearty stop at the Gschwendtalm - the Alm is one of the most original in Upper Austria!
