From the Klausriegler parking lot in Trattenbach, this well-marked hiking trail leads steadily uphill, across a pasture, through forests and then over a high plateau to the summit of the Schoberstein (1,285 m). In the immediate vicinity, the Schobersteinhaus invites you to stop for a bite to eat.
Note: A parking fee is payable at the Klausriegler parking lot. If you consume something, you get a token to drive out.
Alternative: Extend the walk by a good hour if you start from Trattenbach station. This takes you through the museum village "Im Tal der Feitlmacher".
