An impressive path leads from the Attersee through the Burggraben up to Almidylle under the Schafberg.
A head for heights & surefootedness required!
The start of this hiking-route is at the inn Jägerwirt (closed) directly at the entrance from the, at the moment blocked, Burggrabenklamm. The way to Eisenaueralm branches at the little pilgrimage church Maria Klamm. The narrow way built in 1890 called Valerieweg is in a very good condition. There are some steps uphill. Soon you are in the middle of the very beautiful Burggraben and you have an amazing view into the canyon. There is rope fuse for content in some parts. You reach the Magdalenenquelle when you go across the little bridge. Soon there is an offshoot and you have to keep right. After that you go downhill direction Ackergraben. You go past upright rocks and then you can see a valley. You have to cross the brook once again and you uphill to Unterackeralm and then to the Oberackeralm. You reach the spacious Eisenaueralm when you go through the meadow and a little forest. On the wide path you come to the Buchberghütte. This is a really beautiful place for meeting each other because of the amazing view at the north slope from the Schafberg.
