Antiesen cycle path - family-friendly 42 km
The starting point for the family-friendly Antiesen cycle path can be found on the Inn cycle path near Reichersberg. Before the start, the Augustinian canons' abbey with its abbey vinotheque and baroque manor garden invites you to linger and enjoy.
Tip: The bird of prey shows in the eagle station Obernberg (approx. 4 km from Reichersberg) are worth seeing.
Via Antiesenhofen you roll into the valley of the Antiesen. On low-traffic side roads you continue to St. Martin im Innkreis. The cycle path leads past the Calvary Way of the Cross, the castle of the Arco-Zinneberg family and many typical Innviertel buildings.
Through fields, meadows and along the Antiesen floodplains you reach Utzenaich. This small, picturesque village, which is characterized by agriculture, also invites you to linger around the idyllic local pond and in the guest gardens of the inns. A detour to the parish church with its neo-Gothic high altar is worthwhile.
Refreshed, you continue a little further off the Antiesen to Aurolzmünster, a village that was elevated to the status of a market town as early as 1406. The origins of the market town go back to the year 800 after christ, when monks of the Bavarian monastery Niederaltaich settled in the fertile area of the Antiesen valley. The magnificent baroque castle of Aurolzmünster, built between 1691 and 1711, is particularly worth seeing.
Then the Antiesenradweg leads about 7 km along the Antiesen to the district and fair city of Ried im Innkreis. Here lived and worked over seven generations the famous sculptor family Schwanthaler. Works of all generations and style epochs can be admired in the museum Innviertler Folklore museum. Numerous guest gardens and stores invite you to stroll around.
The tour continues via Hohenzell to Haag am Hausruck. The adventure mountain Luisenhöhe offers exciting leisure activities for the whole family, nature lovers and sports enthusiasts.
After a short continuation you will reach Geboltskirchen. This is where the Antiesen cycle path meets the Trattnachtal cycle path.
Numerous connection possibilities: Inn cycle path, Römer cycle path, Trattnachtal cycle path, circular routes possible
Route: asphalted or well paved on bike paths, side roads and freight roads, slight inclines in the Hausruck area, suitable for all bikes
