This 12.5 km circular hiking trail shows the use of "Mühlviertler granite stones".
A hiking trail dedicated to the diversity of stones in general - from beautiful Mühlviertler stone castle houses to various stone walls and natural stone walls.
The "stoanige Landschaft" of the Mühlviertel can be seen at every turn on this circular hiking trail. The 12.5 km long hiking trail leads past numerous old "Steinbloß" farmsteads with newly erected "Steinbloß" outbuildings, brick-built or laid stone walls - either made of so-called "boulders" or quarry granite - sometimes even on paths paved with stones. Along the way, hikers experience the many different uses of "Mühlviertel granite". The attentive observer encounters the stones at houses, window, door, gate and cred stones, as boundary stones (Moarstein) on meadow and field paths, stones on hills and slopes or in the stream bed as a boundary. A section is also dedicated to the use of stones in modern architecture.

Directions:
In the direction of the museum, take the road along the Kleine Gusental in Unterhirschgraben.

After approx. 800 metres, turn left along the "Alter Schmied Weg" to Auerbach, then right to the Reitersederhof farm in Berg. Turn left towards "Seidl-Hof", then right along the Tröbingerbach to the Raidlhaus.

Possibility to walk up the Zeißberg (802m) on the forest path. (Not marked!)

A short section here takes you across Neumarkt municipal territory. Continue left again along the Tröbingerbach to the "Lieb-Hof", here left over the Liebenberg to Auerbach and after the Grünbrunn Chapel left over the settlement back to Hirschbach-Ort.
