Tour-Details
Paths covering:
The Wildalm pasture(1.605 m) is not managed, but offers a beautiful view.
Staring point for this hike is the village of Vorderstoder. Along the main road towards Hinterstoder and turn off at the Landhotel Stockerwirt (HT).
The first part of the path leads down to the valley, crossing the Loigis stream. Follow the village road uphills until shortly past the “middle station” of the Hackl ski lifts, where you can turn left (HT) rather steep uphills to the mountain inn Almgasthof Baumschlagerberg (1.000 m altitude) or continue on the tar road, which also leads you to the mountain inn (access to Baumschlagerberg by car possible) .
Walking time for both options is about 1 hour.
To the Wildalm pasture
From Baumschlagerberg in Vorderstoder the trail leads over a meadow at first, then uphills through a forest, crossing a forest road to a second forest road, which you follow for about 500 m until you get close to a beam (HT). Here the trail turns off and leads uphills. This part of the trail is very steep, so you could also continue along the forest road as an easier option. The Wildalm pasture(1.605 m) is not managed, but offers a beautiful view. Pass the alpine huts, keep to the right and orientate yourself on the climb tracks ( no markings!) leading over pastures and through mountain pine fields to the summit (1.860 m).
