Paths covering:
A leisurely walk leads through the village centre to the 'Wachtstein'. The name comes from its use as a lookout and guard post for impending dangers - most recently during the Turkish siege of Vienna around 1683 - and is even immortalised as a landmark in Liebenau's municipal coat of arms. The path turns towards Tabormühle (where a defence redoubt was located during the Hussite Wars (1419 - 1436)), a plank mill that is still in operation today.
The route continues through lush meadows and forests. The path overlaps with the Brockenbergweg (No. 33) for some distance. You can extend your walk here or return to Liebenau.
