Mountainbike tour "KABONG"

The KABONG MTB route offers a varied circuit through idyllic landscapes and panoramic mountain ranges.

KABONG is made up of the first letters of the towns along the route (Kronberg - Attersee /Attergau - Berg - Oberwang - Nussdorf - St. Georgen).

From the Haus der Kultur in St. Georgen, go straight ahead at the traffic circle and after the pharmacy turn right towards Wildenhag and continue to Kronberg. At the ski lift, turn left onto the asphalt road and slightly uphill to Wienerroith. Then downhill to Nußdorf, turn right twice there and up via Limberg to Dachsteinblick.

The route continues on a gravel road to Sölln and down to Gessenschwandt, then on asphalt to Oberwang. Turn right before the Stabauer butcher's shop and head uphill via Großenschwandt, Powang and Straß to Mitterleiten.

From here, the route leads over the Klauswald forest on gravel roads to the Lichtenberg with its magnificent views. At Gasthof Danter, turn right downhill to Weißenkirchen and via Hölleiten to Kogl. Turn right at Spitzerwirt and return to St. Georgen via Thalham.

Section "Lichtenberg Süd":
Start in Thalham in the direction of Klauswald, via the forest road up the Lichtenberg and then via Weißenkirchen and Kogl back to Thalham.
