The Iglmoosalm is very popular amongst hikers. It is a one-and-half-hour walk from middle Gosau valley.

You start in the Ramsau district. Take hiking trail 880 through the forest towards Kalmberg. You cross the forest road about halfway along the route.

A second option leads from Pass Gschütt along the forest road (hiking trail 224) to the Iglmoosalm at 1206 metres. Enjoy the easy hike to the Iglmoosalm and reward yourself with a magnificent view of the Gosaukamm on the one hand, and with homemade delicacies such as the Kaiserschmarrn pancakes from landlady "Andrea" on the other.

Highway exit Golling - Abtenau, Rußbach, Gosau

from Linz:
highway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau

from Vienna/Graz:
Liezen highway exit onto B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Aussee, continue on the B145 towards Bad Goisern, take the B166 ramp to Golling/Gosau/Obertraun/Hallstatt/Bad Goisern-Süd, turn right at the Gosaumühle junction towards Gosau

from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße to Gosau

By train
Route Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning
Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue by bus 541 in the direction of Gosaumühle, change to bus 542 in the direction of Lake Gosau

By bus (Sundays irregular):
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, bus stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt
change to bus 542 direction Gosausee, get off at the bus stop "Gosau Ramsau B166".
