Hauberg - Neuhäusl - Koglerbinder-Viewpoint

A very nice tour at Mondseeberg with view over Mondsee and Irrsee.

As an ascent to the Mondseeberg we choose either path no. 2: Herzog-Odilo-Straße - Bader-Göbl-Straße - Pension Meingast - Rußbachweg - underpass under the motorway bridge - hiking path 2 through the forest to Hauberg

or path no.3: Basilica - Gosaugraben - left path under the motorway to Mondseebergstraße - Wiesenweg via Kufberg and Lederberg to Hauberg.

We cross the Mondseebergstrasse and continue climbing up the path over the meadows. A look back at Mondsee is appropriate at the observation bench. The path leads us up in the forest. At the forest road we leave the hiking trail and turn left. Slightly downhill we come back to Mondseebergstrasse, which we follow on the right. At the bus stop (Neuhäusl) we have reached the Hochmoor district. We now turn left (path no. 6) and follow the road to the Koglerbinder viewpoint. Let's enjoy the view before we descend in the next right bend to the left on the hiking trail behind the house and through the forest to the road to Berg. From here we follow the road towards Mondsee and reach Herzog-Odilo-Strasse and the town center via Berg and Sonnenhang, Rußbachweg and Bader-Göbl-Strasse.
