Zellerhütte Alpine Hut – Edtbauernalm Pasture

From the Zellerhütte, trail no. 201 leads downhill to the Schafferteich pond. At the Schafferteich car park, continue left on paths no. 1 and 13 uphill to the Almresort Baumschlagerberg.

The Kalkalpenweg now follows trail no. 11 to the rustic Steyrsbergerreith mountain hut. Here you will find another place to stop and rest with alpine specialities. Along the forest road, which is also designated as a mountain bike route, the trail climbs gently up to the Redlstein, where the going gets tough once again.

Once you reach the top, you will soon see the alpine pastures of the Hutterer Böden. From here it is not far to the next stage destination, the Edtbauernalm.

ATTENTION!!!! On the Edtbauernalm only smaller groups can still stay overnight for one night in vacation apartments. Since there is currently no other overnight accommodation on the Hutterer Böden, individuals must unfortunately spend the night in the valley. Variant 1: From the Hutterer Böden with the cable car to the valley, spend the night in Hinterstoder and return the next morning and walk the original Kalkalpenweg. Variant 2: Descend from Steyrsbergerreith on trail 30, 31 in the direction of Mitterstoder / Walchegg, spend the night in Hinterstoder and walk along the Stodertaler Höhenrunde in the direction of Weißenbach, where you rejoin the Kalkalpenweg. Of course, one could shorten in Hinterstoder and set off in the direction of Flötzersteig. But then you would miss the Schiederweiher - the most beautiful place in Austria.
