The hiking trail is not just in summer one of the most popular trails in Bad Goisern. Even in winter, the Traunreiter path is ideal for winter hiking.

Family-friendly, easy walk

Winter hiking along the river Traun - in the Weißenbach area, the Traunreiter path invites you to slow down with a leisurely 1 ¼ hour walk. The path is cleared in winter.

The path begins at the Goiserer Bridge (near the center of Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt) and leads past the train station of Bad Goisern to the Weißenbach Bridge, always accompanied by the sound of the tireless river Traun. The flat and easy path is especially popular with families and has been one of the most popular winter hiking trails for many years.
