From Trattenbach, the path first leads along the Enns cycle path to the Wendbach junction, then up through the romantically rocky valley, left towards Nixloch, past the Hintsteiner farm, and right up to the summit of Hohe Dirn (1,134 m).
Hiking trail: HD6, E88, E89
Directions:From Trattenbach, the first 1.5 km of the hiking trail follow the Enns cycle path to the Wendbach junction. The route continues through the romantically rocky ravine, where ore was once mined, until a signpost indicates a marked but steep path to Nixloch on the left.
It leads to a meadow, crosses a forest road, and winds through abandoned cultivated land up to the Hintsteiner farm. Just before, a narrow forest path and a new forest road branch off to the left to Nixloch. Immediately after Hintsteiner, turn right onto the forest road and then right again along a beautiful but somewhat steep path by the edge of the forest up to the summit of Hohe Dirn.
