Alle Neune 4: Brustwand Wanderweg

A walk on the Brustwand with wonderful views over Lake Wolfgangsee and the Schafberg Mountain opposite.

From the village square in Strobl, walk along Ischlerstraße to the "Schloss Strobl" hotel, then continue left along the road, through the underpass and continue right until you reach a left-hand bend. Here turn right onto a path with trail no. 8 towards Gasthaus Kleefeld, after a short stretch turn right to the beautiful view (steep section, for more experienced hikers). You pass 2 viewpoints and walk mainly through the forest. At first, the trail climbs steadily until you reach the 886 m high Brustwand (viewpoint and stamp point), continuing on wooded alpine pastures until you reach a forest road. Follow this to the game reserve and the Kleefeld inn, pass the inn and turn left onto trail no. 7, now always downhill to the starting point.
Variant for smaller children to the stamping point: From the Kleefeld inn on the forest road towards Sparber, continue straight on at the left-hand bend to the stamping point.
