Hike to the Födinger Alm, Kienesberg
Hike to the Födinger Alm!
The hike begins at the “Kienesberg – Födinger Alm” parking lot. From there, the route follows the Laxenbach stream along a shaded forest road to the Hubertushütte. The hike takes about an hour. At the Hubertushütte, you can enjoy some regional delicacies.
The trail is easily manageable with a sturdy stroller.
It’s worth taking a look inside the Födinger Chapel. In 2010, Johann Gebhart—known as Födinger—built the Marian Chapel as a token of gratitude for his recovery following major heart surgery. Unfortunately, he did not live to see its dedication. Every year, a May devotional service and a mountain Mass are held there.
Note:
The hiking trail is intended exclusively for hikers. Bicycling is not permitted.
