Mountain Climbing Park Bannholzmauer (A/B - E/F)

For beginners to practise or for a short time to train.

The Bannholzmauer is a 50 m high rock, hidden in the northern forest of the Wurbauerkogel. Since 2014, there have been 7 via ferratas there. This makes the rock ideal for getting to know the various difficulties - with more or less climbing experience. Alpine clubs also like to hold their exercises there.

Shortly before the Bannholz wall, there is an information board with the marked routes and difficulty levels for orientation. The individual via ferratas can also be climbed in series in a good combination, partly also in descent. From the fenced-in summit of the Bannholz wall you have an unexpectedly great view of the Veichl valley and the wooded foothills of the southern Sengsen mountains.

How difficult is it?
1 Easy climb 100 m A/B, 2 Moderately difficult climb 95 m B/C, 3 Very difficult climb 75 m D/E,
4 Extremely difficult climb 55 m E/F (climbing shoes and additional rope protection from above are recommended); 5 Difficult climb 56 m D, 6 Medium-difficult climb 33 m B/C, 7 Easy climb with ladder 32 m A/B
