Cross country skiing at 1 700 m above sea level

The Cross Country Trail Dachstein Krippenstein Gjaid Alm is an absolute insider tip when it is a question of snow reliability or winter panorama.

From Obertraun you can easily reach the Gjaid Alm by taking the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car to the cable car station Gjaid. Walk down only a few metres to the Gjaid Alm and start the round trip directly.

The cross country ski run is suitable for skaters as well as for diagonal skiers. The round is about 1.2 km long and leads you through the beautiful winter landscape over the mountain pastures of the Gjaid Alm.

After the sport you should take a break on the sunny terrace of the Gjaid Alm before you return to the valley with the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car.
