Wels und Traunauen

A leisurely tour to roll in or switch off after a strenuous day. Apart from one climb, this is a completely flat tour with little traffic, mostly directly along the banks of the Traun on side roads and cycle paths.

The route continues downstream along the Traun to Marchtrenk and on to Linz/Ebelsberg. Follow the northern bank of the Traun eastwards to the Traun power station in Pucking. Switch to the south bank of the Traun here and follow it westwards to Schleißheim. From here, take the short, unpaved, ascending road "Am alten Berg", which joins Welser Straße at the end. Continue straight on downhill to the junction with the B138. In Talheim as far as the "Angerlehner Steg". Then cross the Traun river back to Wels, via the town square through the historic centre of Wels!
