Orte des Glaubens: Vom Ölgraben zur ehemaligen Hinrichtungsstätte

There was once a court square right on the border with Salzburg.

If you want to avoid the main road, take the same route back from the Schinagl chapel (Pos. 229) or the Reinhartshuber wayside shrine (Pos. 230).
From the car park, head west. At the edge of the forest, the marked meadow path branches off towards Thalgau. This takes us to the Kogler wayside shrine (pos. 225) and the Gastberger weather cross (pos. 228). In the immediate vicinity is the border with Salzburg, where the gallows used to stand, where the condemned subjects of the Wartenfels estate were executed (according to local legend). Back on the road, we follow it downhill to the Schinagl Chapel (Pos. 229) and continue under the motorway to the Reinhartshuber wayside shrine (Pos. 230) on the main road. We have to follow this road briefly to the left, then cross the Fuschler Ache. At the Kantinger wayside cross (Pos. 252) we turn left again. The Voglhuber chapel (Pos. 251) is a little way off in the meadow. Now we return to the main road, which we follow for a short distance to the left until the road turns off to the right, which takes us in the direction of the motorway. At the hiking trail (subway) we come to the car park.
