Opening in autumn 2018!

Feel-good trail "Der Taferlklaussee" - A rewarding forest walk at the foot of the Hochlecken

At the foot of the Hochlecken between Lake Traunsee and Lake Attersee lies Lake Taferlklaussee, surrounded by forest. A walk around the lake offers marvellous views of the surrounding mountains and plenty of resting places to enjoy the surroundings.

The well-maintained feel-good trail starts directly from the small car park in front of the lake. From the small wooded area, with short access to the lake, the path continues to a rest stop. At this point, the path offers a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. After a few metres past the rest stop, we come to Station 1 of the Wellbeing Trail in front of a small wooden bridge. This is where the Aurachbach flows into the Taferlklaussee. The trail now continues through the forest a little away from the lake. Halfway through the forest, we reach station 2 at a resting bench. A little further on, we leave the woodland and the view of the lake opens up again. After a short time, we reach station 3, right by the lake. The feel-good trail ends here and takes the same route back to the starting point. (Although the car park or starting point is within sight of station three, it is not suitable for everyone due to the unsecured section of road on the shortest way back. For this reason, this feel-good trail is organised as a branch trail and not as a circular trail).

General information on the feel-good trails:

Well-being trails invite you to relax in nature. They inspire and open up new perspectives. What the trails have in common is that they do not cover great distances or differences in altitude. The focus is on leisurely hiking and enjoying nature. Many trails are designed to meet the needs of families with small children and people with limited mobility. Information on infrastructure and barriers can be found in the respective route descriptions. Various activities along the feel-good trails offer the opportunity to experience nature, learn more about the habitats and their inhabitants and organise the hike in a playful way.
