Schieferstein from Laussa

A strenuous and definitely rewarding hike. Enjoy the view into the Enns Valley, over the forest sea of the Hintergebirge to the Sengsengebirge, the Haller Mauer and much further.

From the parking lot, the path initially leads along a side road, later along a ridge to the Gscheid and further on hiking trail 467 to the junction with a forest road. After a short stretch, the path now turns left and leads through the forest up to the Schieferstein ridge. Over the Steinernen Jäger (1,185 m) it finally goes to the summit (1,206 m).
Attention! From the Schieferstein ridge (at the latest from the turn to the Steinernen Jäger), surefootedness and a head for heights are required!

Variant: Shortly after the Gscheid, take the turn towards Miesrigl/Losenstein and extend the route to a round over the Pfennigstein.
