Alberndorf - Klamleiten - Weikersdorf

From the Spar supermarket in the centre of Alberndorf, we walk west along the pavement and turn onto the Schwemmweg. We walk past beautifully maintained houses on the church path into the Gusental valley. From there, we walk approx. 100 metres along the country road to the bridge over the Gusen. From here, the hiking trail climbs steeply uphill. After a strenuous climb along the edge of the forest, you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the centre of Alberndorf. The destination is reached in just a few minutes.
From here, additional short hikes are possible, such as a circular route via Kottingersdorf and Steinbach (A6) or Kelzendorf and Matzelsdorf (A11).

How to get there by car:

From Linz, take the A7 motorway to the "Gallneukirchen" exit

Follow the road through Gallneukirchen

After the one-way street, turn diagonally left towards "Alberndorf"

Follow the road for approx. 7 km

The start of the hiking trail is directly in front of the Spar supermarket

There is ample free parking just a few metres away behind the municipal office. After the Spar supermarket, turn left onto Kalchgruberstraße, then turn right.
