Laufrunde Mondsee-St. Lorenz (10 km)

The Mondseer Lauffreunde 10-kilometre loop leads through a beautiful agricultural landscape between Lake Mondsee and the Drachenwand to Schwarzindien and St. Lorenz.

We start our 10-kilometre run at the Mondsee-Irrsee tourist office and run towards the lake. Before we reach the large avenue, we turn left and run along the Kneipp path on a gravel track (still heading towards the lakeshore). We cross the main road and find ourselves in Almeida Park on the lakeside promenade, which we cross in a westerly direction. Passing the Alpenseebad, we reach the main road again and walk along it to the Eurospar. There we turn into the villa estate and walk along this small side road to the Schwarzindien lido and continue through the Schwarzindien residential area. Before the last house, we turn right and continue along the so-called railway line towards St. Lorenz. Through a subway we reach the Wagnermühle and from there we turn left to the church of St. Lorenz and continue to the foot of the Drachenwand. Once we reach the Drachenwand inn, we turn right and walk a short distance directly below the Drachenwand. We turn right at a large farm and return to the fork at the Wagnermühle. We take the same route back to Mondsee, but after the Hotel Lackner we don't walk back along the lake to the tourist office, but turn left, cross the Zeller Ache and walk past the cemetery back to the starting point.
