The start and finish of the Alkovener Donausteig round route is the pond landscape.                                                                                                                 

Across meadows and fields, you go deeper into the riparian forest, where, right next to the Innbach, less than 100 meters from the Danube, you can sense the calm of intact nature.

Leaving the riparian forest behind, you can refresh yourself at the Gelsenwirt.
