Day 1: Großraming – Ennser Hütte
Day 2: Ennser Hütte via Danzersteig to Gamstein to Gschwendtalm
Day 3: Gschwendtalm – Anlaufalm
Day 4: Anlaufalm – Ebenforstalm
Day 1: Großraming – Ennser Hütte
From Großraming train station, follow the district Oberplaißa past Bamachergut up to Ennser Hütte. Overnight stay.
Tip for the end of the first day or the start of the second day: Almkogel with wonderful views of Kalkalpen National Park, Totes Gebirge, Gesäuse mountains or Rottenmann Tauern rewards for the roughly half-hour ascent.
Day 2: Ennser Hütte via Danzersteig to Gamstein to Gschwendtalm
From Ennser Hütte, go under the cable car and ascend via Danzersteig to the summit of Gamstein. After a panoramic view and seeing as far as the Bohemian Forest, descend to Gschwendtalm to enjoy homemade alpine specialties such as bread, quark dumplings or Buchteln and sweet quark dumplings in the evening, overnight stay.
Day 3: Gschwendtalm – Anlaufalm
From Gschwendtalm descend to Brunnbachtal. You can end the hike here or ascend again to the “Kreuzweg” and follow the ridge with wonderful views into the gorges of Kalkalpen National Park and over Hochkogel to reach Anlaufalm, overnight stay.
Day 4: Anlaufalm – Ebenforstalm
As a further stage, from Anlaufalm go over the Keixen to Große Klause and ascend via Begsteigersteig to Ebenforstalm. Descent possible to Reichraming or Molln.

The Ennstalbahn runs between Linz and Weißenbach-St. Gallen.
