On the forest road, it first goes downstream through the gorge and through several tunnels. Right at the Schleierfall, the trail leads up through the Hochschlacht to the Anlaufalm.
You are rewarded with impressive views into the core area of the Kalkalpen National Park, and the Hochschlachtbach with smaller and larger pools and waterfalls is a constant companion.
After about 1.5 hours of ascent, you reach the pasture floor of the Anlaufalm. The Anlaufalm, located in the heart of the Kalkalpen National Park, is at 982 meters above sea level and is managed from May to October.
Directly from the Anlaufalm, the round route goes briefly uphill to the east again and then passes by the Drei Bilder and at the Hirschkogelsattel turns right on the forest road to descend the valley back to the starting point.
Tip:From Unterlaussa via the Mooshöhe you reach the Weißwasser parking lot after a short drive on the gravel road, which is an optimal starting point for hikes in the Kalkalpen National Park - Reichraminger Hintergebirge -.
