Kleiner Schönberg

Beautiful half-day tour with top views of the Traunsee.

Start at the Traunstein turnaround car park. First, the route follows a forest/gravel road for just under 1.5-2km. Immediately after the second tunnel over the bridge, you head up the Schönberg. After a few hundred metres, turn right into the forest (signs are clearly visible). After approx. 30-45 minutes you reach the fork where you turn right to the Schönberg summit (another 5-10 minutes). The last few metres are partly secured with ropes and steps and require some surefootedness. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view over Lake Traunsee.
