Marienthal Trail

Description:
In direction of Otterbach, past Otterbacher country estate, we hike uphill to the "stony bench". From there we have a wonderful view of the baroque town of Schärding and into neighbouring Bavaria. In fine weather conditions we can also see the Alpine mountain range - Dachstein, Watzmann, Tennengebirge - and Berchtesgadener Land. This is a scenic attraction beckoning to put in a break. We continue along the varied and signposted forest trail with the gentle rolling hills of Innviertel all the way to Marienthal, along Gopperdinger Strasse Road (no pavement) Steinbach-Brückerl - left to the railway underpass. From here we continue along Pramtal cycle path R21 back to the starting point.Tip:
