How to get to the Almtal (to Grünau im Almtal):

We recommend that you travel by public transport!
by train: from Wels train station with the Almtalbahn (line 153) to Grünau im Almtal;
Numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the western line (line 101)
by bus: OÖVV bus line 533 Gmunden - Grünau - Almsee, Habernau stop
Return journey by train: from Ebensee Landungsplatz station with the Salzkammergutbahn (line 170) in the direction of Attnang-Puchheim, connections to the main trains on the western line (line 101)

With the Traunstein Taxi Route 60 from the Grünau station to the Jagersimmerl stop, call the taxi headquarters at least 1 hour in advance on the telephone number 050-422 1691 or order on the otaxi app. Service only possible if there is no active OÖVV bus connection (line 533)

On foot: From the center or train station Grünau im Almtal you can comfortably hike the Almuferweg "Genuss am Almfluss" via the Cumberland Wildlife Park to the Almsee!

From the center of Grünau, follow the country road in the direction of Almsee to the junction / parking lot Habernau (12 km)
